So how do I work? I like to collect things from the natural world. My drawers are filled with experiments in technique, surface, form and color. Parts that I once made from metal, from wood or bone, enameled bits, shapes that I cut out of paper, images from flowers or leafs and finds from nature. I give them a space where they can get to know each other. I arrange and rearrange them, and if they like each other, they form the basis for a new design, an interpretation of the botanical world, a new species plant or flower.
I always love to explore new materials and techniques from diverse disciplines, always looking for new ways to bring color into the jewelry. Combining traditional materials like gold, silver and enamel, with industrial paint, wood and steel. Always aiming for jewelry that is strong and subtle, beautifully crafted and a pleasure to live with.
